Dinner Groups

Dinnertwine is a platform to organize dinner groups and a framework of standards and protocol for managing them. These standards keep things fair and balanced. The method of posting and signing up for events allows hosts to create beautiful dinner parties, without all of the time and cost of food preparation.

Dinnertwine

The days when neighbors popped by with piping fresh goodies or sparked an impromptu over-the-fence conversation are fading quickly. In spite of all of the online connection available today, people are more isolated than ever before, and the need for relationship is as strong as it has ever been. Finding those close relationships we all crave and staying in touch is not easy.

Dinnertwine provides a solution for this, making the organization of dinner groups simple, fair and affordable. One person hosts. Everyone else brings the food.

Once the host of the month decides on a menu and posts the event and the items to their group calendar, guests RSVP with the dish they are bringing. Reminders to each person, of what they signed up to bring, are sent out by email automatically a week before the dinner and again two days before the dinner.

APPETIZERS

2 people sign up to cook for 6 people

Appetizers should be light snack food just before the meal is served. They should coordinate with the host’s theme. For example, if the host’s theme is taco night, they might provide chips and guacamole.

ENTREE

3 people sign up to cook for 4 people

The entree should be organized according to the host’s theme. For example, if the theme is taco night, then one person brings ground beef taco meat and another chicken, and another strips of cooked beef.

SALAD AND BREAD

2 people sign up to cook for 6 people

A nice variety of super fresh ingredients as well as a good salad dressing are the key to making a great salad. Bread, fresh from the bakery makes a nice addition to the dinner menu.

2 ppl

VEGETABLE

2 people sign up to cook for 6 people

Any vegetable that is not a starch would be suitable for this sign up. Challenge yourself to create a tasty vegetable that goes well with the host’s theme for the evening.

2 ppl

STARCH

2 people sign up to cook for 6 people

A starch would include rice, pasta, white potatoes, or sweet potatoes. If the them is tacos, the starch should be rice. If the evening is something more formal then perhaps twice baked potatoes or a sweet potato casserole would be nice.

2 ppl

DESSERT

2 people sign up to cook for 6 people

The final ingredient to a lovely evening is a delicious dessert. Perhaps one person could bring a healthy option such as fruit and whip cream and another could bring something to indulge in, such as cheesecake.

Making dinner groups easy to organize

Dinnertwine is a method of connecting people over meals: monthly dinner parties where the work and expense are shared equally among group members.
Each month a different member of your group hosts a dinner. He or she decides on a menu and posts it to the calendar. Guests then RSVP with the item they choose to bring and reminders are automatically generated.
