      Hershey’s Chocolate Cake

      Ingredients
      2 c sugar
      1 3/4 cup all purpose flour
      3/4 cup Hershey’s cocoa
      1 1/2 tsp baking powder
      1 1/2 tsp baking soda
      1 tsp salt
      2 tsp vanilla
      2 eggs
      1 c milk
      1/2 c vegetable oil
      1 cup boiling water

      Directions
      1. Heat oven to 350°F and flour two 9” baking pans. Combine dry ingredients in large bowl. Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla; beat on med. speed 2 minutes. Stir in boiling water (batter will be thin). Pour into pans.
      2. Bake 30-35 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes. Remove from pans to wire racks. Cool completely. Frost.

      “Perfectly Chocolate’ Chocolate Frosting

      Ingredients
      1 1/2 sticks butter
      1 cup cocoa
      4 1/2 cups powdered sugar
      1/2 c milk
      1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

      Directions
      Melt butter. Stir in cocoa. Alternately add sugar and milk, beating on medium speed to spreading consistency. Add more milk if needed. Stir in vanilla. About 3 cups frosting.
