BBQ Ribs

1) Place ribs and quartered onion in a large pot of boiling, salted water. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 1 1/2 hours or until tender.

2) Drain ribs completely.

3) For BBQ sauce, combine remaining ingredients in a saucepan and simmer, uncovered, for one hour, stirring occasionally.

4) Arrange ribs on a baking sheet and brush both sides with BBQ sauce.

5) Broil for 5 minutes on each side until ribs are slightly charred, brushing frequently with BBQ sauce.
