Mama’s Classic Italian Meatballs

Serves: 4 People

Ingredients

½ cup Milk
1 piece Slice of Bread, crust removed
1 pounds Ground Beef
1 tablespoon Yellow Onion, chopped
2 tablespoon Parsley, fresh, chopped
1 whole Egg
1 dash Nutmeg or Marjoram
3 tablespoon Parmesan Cheese, grated
1 teaspoon Salt
½ teaspoon Pepper
½ cup Dried Bread Crumbs
3 tablespoon Olive Oil

Method

1) Put the milk and bread in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Mash the bread with a fork and blend it together.
2) In a large bowl, combine the meat, onion, parsley, egg, nutmeg or marjoram, and grated parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and bread and milk mixture. Mix gently, by hand.
3) Shape the meat mixture into 1 1/2" round meatballs and roll meatballs in dried bread crumbs.
4) Heat oil in skillet until a drop of water jumps out. Sauté the meatballs until cooked through.

Notes

Use good quality Italian bread, if possible.
